SHE can hardly contain her excitement!

Didcot Secret Santa Courtney Hughes only wanted one thing for Christmas and now – somewhat belatedly – she's got it: her very own shipping container.

Ironically, Miss Hughes, 19, wants the enormous metal crate to store thousands of presents for other people in her annual Secret Santa appeal.

The collection, which she has been running since she was 13, had grown so popular that she will filling her parents' home in Great Western Park floor-to-ceiling with presents.

She put out an appeal in this paper just before Christmas asking if anyone had a spare shipping container she could have, and was amazed when someone got in touch.

The company who donated the container want to remain anonymous, and even its location has to remain a secret for insurance purposes, but Miss Hughes said she was delighted to be able to share this picture of her and her dad Lee showing off just how much space they now have.

She said: "I am over the moon: this is going to help me out so much and will let me accept gifts all year round – I'm still getting them now."

She also said she had a lot of big plans for 2017, including some events, to collect even more gifts for people stuck in hospitals, hospices and care homes over Christmas.
