WARMINGTON Kenneth It is with great sadness that we report the death of Mr K.E.C. Warmington former Landlord for more than 20 years of the Royal Green Jacket Pub in Chester Street, Iffley Road, Oxford where Ken promoted the Great love for his old Regiment The Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry. His Pub was also famous for promoting Pub games such as Aunt Sally, Shove Halfpenny, Cribbage and Darts and even at times on his lovely Pub lawn the old game of Croquet loved by University members. He leaves behind his beloved wife Mary, sons Chris and Rob and daughter Jane. Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. His funeral will be held in Weston on the Green at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin on Tuesday 6th December 2016 at 3pm, and afterwards refreshments and "Memories of Ken" in the nearby Village Hall. Ken had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for several years and died on the eve of Armistice Sunday Nov 12 from pneumonia. Family flowers only please and any donations to be divided between Alzheimer's Research and the roof of our beloved Church of St. Mary the Virgin at Weston-on-the-Green.

Dear Mary and family. I'm sorry for your loss. My late father, 'Ben' Bennell worked with Ken as a porter at The Mitre hotel years ago and always spoke well of him. I only met Ken once and never visited the pub but I get the impression he had a good life. My sincere condolences to your family. Tony Bennell.
