Jan-Georg Deutsch Associate Professor in Commonwealth History and Fellow of St Cross College, passed away 22 December 2016, aged sixty years. He leaves behind his wife Heike Schmidt, his sister Charlotte Klauder and brother Carl-Christian Deutsch and their families. The funeral, followed by the internment of his ashes, will be held at St Margarets, Binsey Lane, Binsey, Oxford OX2 0EX, 12 January 2017, at 1.30 pm. St Cross College will announce a memorial service to be convened at a later date. Instead of flowers we ask for donations to Asylum Welcome.
