Jenny Pizey April 27th, 2017
The Pizey family in Hokitika are sad to hear of Elizabeth's passing, we had not heard from her for many years, I don't believe my letters reached her, but a very kind friend who lives in Oxford saw her death notice and let me know.
We met and became friends when Elizabeth came to New Zealand with my father Patrick Lynch, he died in 2012. Elizabeth joined us with great enthusiasm and energy in our busy life with a young family whilst in the midst of building a house!
We later visited Oxford as a family and have fond memories of Elizabeth showing us around, she was a knowledgable and proud guide.
My most significant memory about Elizabeth was her thoughtfulness, I have collected Christmas books for many years and for several years after her visit to New Zealand she continued to look out for (amongst the Oxfam treasure trove!) and send me, a variety of Christmas books, they continue to be part of my special collection.
Rest in peace Elizabeth, we were pleased to have known you, even for such a short time.
Jenny, Mark, Daniella, Rachael and Toby Pizey.
