Prof. Lewis Roberts

ROBERTS Prof. Lewis C.B.E., F.R.S. Died on 10 April 2012, aged 90 years, ending a long and productive life. Widower of his beloved Mary, and dear father of Matthew, Dr Roberts was respected as a scientist, Group Leader and Director within the UK Atomic Energy Authority, and as Professor at Univ. East Anglia (Norwich). Unflinching in public controversy, he is remembered for his scientific understanding, personal integrity, kindness, and humour, with gratitude and affection, by family, friends and colleagues. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 9 May 2012 in Saint Matthew's Church, Harwell, Oxon at 13.30, Followed by a burial of ashes in All Saints Churchyard, Chilton, Oxon, and a reception in Chilton Village hall.
