MORE than 20 tonnes of recycled wood will be on sale this month as a Milton Park social enterprise relocates.

Chief executive of Oxford Wood Recycling Richard Snow has put 70 per cent of his stock up for sale.

The company collects and “rescues” wood from construction sites and old buildings.

They have been at their Milton Park premises for nine years.

Mr Snow does not yet know where the company is moving too.

He said: “We are happy with the move, and we have just come to the end of our time there.

“We have to grow up and find new premises. We are happy but it is a challenge.”

The social enterprise helps people who find it difficult to find work, such as the long term unemployed.

The 58-year-old Appleton resident said: “We will be running the sale until we run out of wood.”

They have a variety of woods, such as construction timber, plywood, pallets and barn timbers.

The social enterprise is moving as Milton Park undergoes a 10-year £250m expansion, which will see it increase in size by 50 per cent.
