A PORSCHE restoration firm has raced ahead with two national awards.

Autofarm in Weston-on-the-Green was named ‘Best independent Porsche specialist for servicing’ and ‘Best 911 restoration specialist’ last week at a gala ceremony hosted by Total 911 magazine.

Both categories were put to the public vote but a final decision was made by specialist judges.

The firm’s workshop has been servicing, preparing, racing, restoring and selling Porsches for 40 years and has strong links with Porsche and local owner clubs.

Earlier this year, it was bought by Mikey Wastie and Steve Wood.

Co-owner Mr Wastie said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have received this recognition. Having taken over the business earlier this year, we’ve seen the team continue its tireless work to deliver the craftsmanship associated with the Porsche brand. We’re so pleased to have been recognised within the industry for the efforts invested and the quality delivered, not only by the judges but more importantly by the public and Porsche community that voted for us.

He added: “It’s an absolute pleasure for us to go to work, meeting and dealing with such pleasant customers that are as enthusiastic about Porsche as we are.”
