Sisters team up to open nursery in Witney
2:00pm Friday 17th August 2012 in Business
Lynsey and Clair Taylor with six-year-old Sophie Croston and Lynsey's son Archie
TWO sisters have teamed up to open a nursery in Witney.
Little Dots Daycare http://www.littledotsdaycare.co.uk/ is set to open on Tuesday, August 28, on the Windrush Industrial Estate and already 15 children are signed up.
Lynsey Taylor, 34, mum to four-year-old Archie, and her sister Clair Taylor, 37, who used to run Abacus Daycare at Abingdon & Witney College, have invested thousands bringing the building up to scratch.
Lynsey said: “It was a huge project because we had to literally strip the whole building back and start again – but now we have a dedicated nursery that is almost purpose-built.
“I know from being a mum that when I was looking for childcare, I didn’t get made to feel the way I wanted to feel.
“I want everyone to think my son is the most important child in the world, and I didn’t get that.
“There are a lot of nurseries that are big corporations and I think they miss the point.”
The nursery is holding an open day on Saturday, August 25.
