CARE specialists Day and Nightcare Assistance are sponsoring The Oxford Times Jobs Fair for the third time running.

The company, which has offices in Oxford, Wantage, Witney and Banbury, is seeking to recruit staff who can help people from all walks of life to live in their own homes.

The positions that will be available include roles for office support staff, field care supervisors, care staff to provide clients with personal care or practical help to live at home, and drivers to help transport staff who can not drive.

The first ever Oxford Times Jobs Fair in February last year attracted about 1,500 jobseekers and staff at the care firm will once again be manning a stand at the jobs fair on Friday, February 17.

The company is promising new recruits that for any of the roles they choose they will get comprehensive training, flexible working hours, the opportunity to gain new and relevant qualifications in the care industry, guaranteed hours contracts and ongoing support from the management team.

Newsquest Oxfordshire's jobs fair coordinator Belinda Rand said: "We are absolutely delighted that Day and Nightcare Assistance is once again sponsoring The Oxford Times Jobs Fair.

"The company has been with us right from the start and we are very pleased that it will be our sponsors for this month's jobs fair.

"The February jobs fair is always extremely busy and as well as being event sponsors Day and Nightcare Assistance will have a great opportunity to recruit new staff.

"The company is recruiting for staff right now in lots of different departments so the jobs fair will be an ideal opportunity to get to meet jobseekers, take their details, and sign them up for interviews.

"I know Day and Nightcare Assistance managers have found the jobs fair a very good place to recruit new staff in the past and I'm sure they will do so again later this month."

Child care and nursery company Bright Horizons is also among the exhibitors.

At September's jobs fair Day and Nightcare Assistance managers said they were delighted to sponsor the jobs fair as the long-established family-run company was always keen to welcome new faces.

Staff work closely with clients, their families, local authorities and NHS trusts to provide care, helping the elderly to enjoy life in the comfort of their own homes.

Managing director John Maloney said at the time: "The need for social care keeps growing as the population grows older.

"In Oxfordshire, thousands of people have values and skills which we can help develop into a career while providing a much-appreciated service.

"It’s a heart-warming feeling when you help people and bring a smile to their faces day-in and day-out.

"As an Oxfordshire employer, the jobs fair is a fantastic way of meeting potential team members face-to-face, giving them the chance to talk to us informally about the various roles we have and how we can help them find something that suits their style."
