JODY Fletcher was named as the winner of Oxfordshire Business Mother of the Year at an awards ceremony at the Oxford Belfry Hotel last night.

The director of Chilli Promotional Products and mum to two-year-old Lottie beat off more than 60 other nominees to the top spot.

The award, which is sponsored by the Oxford Mail, was one of 15 categories in the Oxfordshire Venus Awards, which celebrates women in business.

Mrs Fletcher, 37, won the award after getting the most votes in an online poll from a shortlist of 12 finalists.

Her company, run from the home she shares with husband Mike in Banbury, sells branded corporate items such as mousemats and jumpers.

The Venus Awards were founded in 2009 by mum-of-four Tara Howard, but this is the first year that they have come to Oxfordshire.

Other winners announced at last night’s ceremony included Alison Hargreaves for Business of the Year, Nancy Hunt for Inspirational Woman and Catherine Blaxhall of Action for Carers (Oxfordshire) for the Lifetime Achievement.
