WEST Oxfordshire is still a popular area to buy commercial farmland, according to a recent report.
The latest RICS/RAU Rural Land market survey showed that average price for arable land fell.
It was down from £8,982 an acre in the second half of last year, to £8,378 an acre in the first half of this year.
Richard Greasby, head of the rural department at property agents Butler Sherborn, said: “Prices achieved and the speed of sale can vary widely, but the Cotswolds and West Oxfordshire continue as a popular area to buy, with values underpinned, thanks to relatively low availability.”
