Oxford law firm Henmans has appointed three new staff to its family, charities and corporate practices and promoted three more in the as well as to private client, property, personal injury and family teams.

Elizabeth Marsh joins the family law practice having qualified in 2009 after training at Wilsons. The family team is also promoting Helen Taylor to partner.

Ms Taylor qualified in 2000 and specialises in high net worth ancillary relief cases.

Robert Foster joins the charities practice from the City of London where he was responsible for implementing a major review of all its charities.

Mr Foster qualified in 1985 and advises charities on commercial issues they face as well as charity law matters.

Tom Walker joins the corporate team. He specialises in corporate and commercial advice with a particular focus on company sales and purchases.

Esther Stirling is promoted to associate in the dispute resolution team; Nicola Boaden becomes an associate in the property team; Claire Bendle becomes an associate in the private client team and Julie Carlisle is promoted to associate in the personal injury team.

Managing partner Julia Iball said: “The two-year consolidation period the recession has afforded us has been time well spent, allowing us to look at working practices and tighten our belts where necessary.

We didn’t have to make any redundancies, something of which we’re very proud, and we’re now in a strong position to continue to expand the firm and maintain our dominant position in Oxford.”
