DESCRIPTION:Oct 16-April 1 2013. Children and War is an exciting new exhibition by the Soldiers of Oxfordshire\, at The Oxfordshire Museum\, Woodstock. The exhibition touches on many aspects of war and warfare\, considering how they affect children from both a military and civilian standpoint. Illustrated by photographs\, artifacts\, memoirs and oral recordings\, it looks at boy soldiers\, war toys and games\, commemoration\, innocent victims caught up in war\, evacuees and refugees\, and children helping with the war effort. All this is examined through the lens of the county of Oxfordshire to tell a rich and fascinating story. The exhibition is suitable for adults and children\, with family-friendly activities in the gallery. Sunday 2-5pm\, Tue- Sat 10am-6pm.
