Bordeaux needs little introduction as the world’s best known wine region and one which holds a special meaning for us here in the UK, originally because of historical reasons and the ease of shipping wine across the Channel from the Gironde river.

This Merlot/Cabernet sauvignon blend is full of superb aromatic fruit and lead pencil minerality – a well structured and memorable wine.
Chateau la Chandelliere 2009, Cru Bourgeois
Made from old vines that produce superb fruit concentration, this is a Merlot dominated wine with rich ripe fruit.
Chateau Haut-Gaudin 2007, Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux
‘Englishman’s Claret’– cigarbox, tobacco and cedarwood underpinned by good minerality. A superbly balanced wine.
