It may seem a bit early for a Christmas Fair, but the event is held at Daylesford Organic Farm, every November in aid of the charity WellChild.

Known for its array of talented independent crafters and local artisans, people travel from near and far to attend, and 2016 looks set to top them all.

This year the fair will be officially opened by Tom and Henry Herbert, known for bringing the ultimate bread and meat combos to our television screens as the Baker Brothers. Plus famous author Jilly Cooper will be signing copies of her new book Mount. Simon Brown, the cookery and retail TV presenter will also be on hand.

Hosted at Daylesford Organic Farm, the fair runs from November 7-9, with a special VIP show preview on the first day complete with canapés and exquisite cocktails and bubbles, getting you into the festive spirit.

LoveBites will provide the mouth-watering canapés and the pioneering company will also be holding a demonstration on Tuesday, showing visitors how to dazzle guests with a stunning Champagne topper.

As we look to expand our culinary horizons, you’ll be excited to hear about the desserts workshop with Sue and Mark Stinchcombe, head chefs at Eckington Manor, Mark the MasterChef the Professionals Champion 2015. The talented duo will show you how to serve something special for the final course of our Christmas dinner – a Christmas pudding with a twist. Learn how to whip up a Christmas pudding pannacotta with cranberry jelly during their Tuesday morning session.

The Christmas leftovers demonstration will then provide some much-needed inspiration. Whether it’s those controversial sprouts or the turkey that wasn’t quite polished off, Steve Brown, head tutor at the cookery school at Daylesford, will guide us through a number of appetising ideas to make sure that nothing goes to waste.

The foodie fun does not stop there. Explore the numerous stalls including The M’hencha Company, who make award-winning Moroccan pastries and cakes, Faithfull’s Quality Baking’s exquisite mince pies, Chilton Liqueurs whose Seville orange gin and raspberry vodka will help to conjure up some sumptuous festive drinks and cocktails.

Stop at Demijohn to peruse their selection of bottles. If you are abstaining from the alcohol this Christmas – the Tea People will be on hand to provide you with a range of traditional and fusion teas.

Cheese lovers will be spoilt for choice when visiting The Truckle Cheese Company’s tasty truckles of Cheddar, Stilton, Goats Cheese, chutneys, onion marmalades and cheesy accessories. You can also visit the Godminster stall for a taste of their acclaimed vintage cheeses.

Bolitas, a gluten-free snack maker will be showcasing some cheesy delights in the form of their signature Brazilian cheese balls. The moreish cheese dough balls are made with cassava flour and cheddar cheese. Oven baked from frozen, they are best eaten warm as a “light and lovely” snack (Mary Berry’s words, not ours).

Finally, no cheese board would be complete without a selection of luxurious charcuterie.

For this, head to The Real Boar Co. stall where their high quality, beautifully presented meats will be available to purchase.
