The South of France remains a very exciting place in which to make wine. Here producers are not bound by all the red tape and rules governing strict usage of certain grape varieties that tends to prevail in many other areas of the country.
The result is an array of interesting and characterful wines that are great for early drinking and often display great individuality and flavour.

Rochebaron Selection Blanc NV
An excellent and interesting blend in which the Sauvignon Blanc adds freshness and the Colombard full fruit to the wine. Very fresh, fruit driven and extremely drinkable wine.
Pierre et Papa Blanc 2012
A really clean example of these increasingly popular grape varieties which has classic flavours of peach and tropical fruits. Very refreshing with delightfully floral fruit.
Les Terraces Merlot/Grenache 2010, Ardeche
Classic French regional red with hints of spice and well rounded redcurrant and raspberry fruit. Ideal with pork and white meats.
Richelieu Bush Vine Grenache/Carignan/Merlot NV
A stunning alternative to Bordeaux, this is a remarkably well made Cabernet that has touches of cedar and full blackcurrant fruit – delicious and stunning value for money!
