Kintu Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Maule Valley: Bursting with fresh ripe flavours of blackcurrant, hints of mint leaf and a lovely touch of cedarwood and smoke — delicious.
Rio Alto Classic Merlot 2010, Aconcagua Valley: “Rich, dark red plum and raisin stew. This is an excellent chunky, chewy red. You get some real sense of ripeness through that slight raisin taste, but the basic flavour is big, broad, plummy and fresh.” Oz Clarke.
Montes Malbec 2009, Colchagua Valley: Aurelio Montes is the man credited with being the first to promote quality wine in Chile and it certainly shows in this ultra juicy Malbec which has complex layers of red berry fruit, spice and toast — superb with beef especially.
