CHAIRMAN’S CHARITY CONCERT
Cornerstone, Didcot
* Saturday
* Tickets from £15 (£13.50 concessions) from cornerstone-arts.org

Shake your stuff to the sound of the self-styled ‘Godfather of Swing’ Ray Gelato and his band, The Giants, who play the chairman of South Oxf-ordshire District Council’s annual charity gig.

Respected for his special brand of swing, jazz and R&B, multi-talented singer, saxman, songwriter and bandleader Gelato comes to Didcot fresh from selling out Ronnie Scott’s and the Blue Note in Milan.

All profits go to the SODC chairman Ann Midwinter’s chosen charities, See Saw, and The Royal British Legion. Cornerstone centre director Les Miller said: “The charismatic Ray Gelato and his Giants are one of the premier swing bands on the jazz circuit. A Ray Gelato performance always delivers a night to remember!
