Jessie J has joined The Voice Australia, taking up the seat of her old replacement on the UK show, Kylie Minogue.
The singers have done a reverse chair swap – last UK series, Kylie had taken up Jessie’s position on the panel, while for this year’s Aussie series Kylie has bowed out and Jessie will stand in as a coach.
Kylie chose to leave The Voice Australia to concentrate on her world tour, while Jessie has joined Delta Goodrem, Ricky Martin, and Joel and Benji Madden for the upcoming shows.
She added in a Channel Nine statement: “I love Australia, I can’t wait to see what voices I’ll discover.”
Last series in Australia, UK judge Will.i.am joined his former seat neighbour Kylie for a stint Down Under, but he is sticking to the UK series this year, where he has been joined by returning mentors Ricky Wilson and Sir Tom Jones, and new face Rita Ora, who has replaced Kylie.
