Ed Sheeran’s debut on Sesame Street has finally been unveiled.
The Thinking Out Loud star teamed up with Elmo, Grover and Cookie Monster to sing Two Different Worlds, teaching children how to behave at school.
The show’s executive producer Carol-Lynn Parenta said the song will educate kids about the different rules kids have to follow at school.
“The Ed Sheeran song is one we were really excited about because that particular curriculum focus is important for kids – to learn that there are two different worlds,” she told Billboard.
“They have rules that apply when you’re home that are very different when they enter school. This is a wonderful song that can help bridge that transition.”
Ed’s guest appearance was actually filmed in October 2013, where he shared backstage photos with the puppets on Instagram.
“Finally got a band,” he wrote, adding: “Hanging with my friends today.”
Ed, whose second album x was named Spotify’s most streamed record of 2014 and won British album of the year at the Brits, is currently touring around Australia, where he also filmed a cameo on soap Home And Away.
