We loved the new musical Peter Pan in Scarlet at the Oxford Playhouse and didn't understand what the adults were going on about. We didn't think it was too long and we understood what was going on even if they didn't. It was obvious.

It was about Wendy and her friends returning to Neverland. Having grown up, they had to work out how to turn back into children to fly again. But when they got to Neverland it was Autumn so they knew something was wrong.

Eventually they found Peter Pan, but he wasn't quite the same either. He was also bored to death so they went on an adventure and found a treasure map and Caption Hook's clothes, so Peter put them on and went to find the treasure.

After that he got meaner and meaner and made Wendy and the Lost Boys do awful things like climb up mountains in the freezing cold without any food or water. We soon realised he was only like that when he put Captain Hook's coat on.

His servant also had a bad attitude and wasn't a good influence. It was the servant who asked them what they wanted to be when they grew up, which turned them back into adults.

Eventually they worked out what was going on and Captain Hook got his comeuppance, but I don't want to give too much away.

The set was amazing and the theatre has been done up so has lots of coloured seats. They used lots of circus tricks on stage to help them fly which was really cool as well.

I thought it was a really good story for kids even if the adults didn't seem to understand what it was about - but they wouldn't because they are GROWN-UPS!
