Two arrests after drug raid

TWO suspected drug dealers were last night in custody after a police raid on a West Oxford home.

Drugs police searched the Osney Court home off Botley Road at about 8.30am.

A police van, pictured, was seen driving into the housing complex before about 10 officers got out and headed towards a house.

Officers seized cannabis and a small amount of a suspected Class A drug in the raid.

And a 31-year-old woman and a 34-year old man were arrested at the address on suspicion of possessing Class A and B drugs.

They were also arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

Tests were last night being run to determine which Class A drug had been seized.

The warrant was executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act after police received a tip off from members of the public.
