Kennington roadworks finish early

Roadworks in Kennington have finished ahead of schedule this afternoon.
Kennington Road has re-opened after Thames Water's flood alleviation work, which shut the road to traffic and buses since Monday, was completed two days early.
The work was designed to stop sewers from backing up into properties in Kennington Road and Upper Road, which had been an issue during heavy rain.
