THE suspension of births at the Cotswold Maternity Unit at Chipping Norton’s War Memorial Hospital will be discussed by the county’s health watchdog tomorrow.
The Oxfordshire joint health overview and scrutiny committee will hear from Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust director of planning and information Andrew Stevens and head of midwifery Jane Hervé at a meeting at County Hall, in New Road, Oxford.
The trust has halted births for three months to review concerns about “working practices” and transfers from the midwife-led unit to hospitals.
The meeting, which starts at 10am, is open to the public.
