This is truly awful and one can only imagine the sorrow for the family when they are made aware of what has happened.

This is a particularly hazardous area to walk along, unfortunately it has to be done in order to access the bus stop and for those residents that do live in this locality. Oxon County Council do not wish to encourage people to to do this-in case it encourages more users of their nearby public sex environment ... difficult (not to say dangerous) for those of us that need to use the bus

Absolutely awful tragedy, it is a fast road, and I wasn't aware that a bus stop was on that side of the road.

OCC need to sort that out, and fast.

This actually didn't happen near the bus stop, nor on the side of the road that has a path alongside it.
So it did confuse me why it happened where it did..
Either way, it was an unfortunate accident & my sympathies go out to her family.

There's a Cheltenham paper that's run this story. I think what the Mail means is that a name hasn't been released.

Widl10 ...you sound as if you have inside knowledge...were you there?

If she was on the side of the road with no path it does not take a rocket scientist to wonder why she got hit.

If she was hit several times her body may well have moved, she may have been walking from thronhill or toward thornhill, or the Forest Hill bus stop.
She may have been taken to the public sex environment ........
Whatever or however this happened that strectch of road is dire, people do have to use it and even with the path on the other side of the road, one still has to cross the A40 to get to it.
