Murder detectives are today due to travel to Wales in a bid to find out who killed a man in a Banbury pub more than eight years ago.
Father-of-two Kevin Lavelle, 29, was attacked in the Cricketer’s Pub, Grimsbury, on the evening England played Portugal in the Euro 2004 football championship in June 2004.
The charity Crimestoppers has now added £5,000 to the £20,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the Merseyside man’s death.
