THE River Cherwell at Oxford has been added to the list of county waterways expected to flood.
The Environment Agency said the river was likely to flood between Cherwell Bridge to Oxford and areas including Summertown, New Marston and Magdalen Bridge, could be affected.
Earlier this afternoon flood alerts were issued for the River Thames in Oxford, Abingdon, Culham, Kennington, above Oxford between Kings Lock and Newbridge, and from Days Lock to South Stoke in South Oxfordshire.
Flooding is also expected to hit Chalgrove Brook, the River Windrush at Witney, the River Thame at Dorchester, and the River Cherwell from Lower Heyford to Cherwell Bridge.
