Couple seriously injured after being crushed by car

AN Oxfordshire couple were crushed by a car while taking a New Year’s Day stroll in Bruges.

Deborah Dale has a broken pelvis her partner Simon Huxtable has a broken leg, it is understood.

Earlier reports suggested Miss Dale had her legs amputated but the Oxford Mail now understands this is not the case.

The couple, from Witney, had travelled to the historic Belgian city for New Year.

Miss Dale, 34, and Mr Huxtable, 44, were said to have been taking a stroll when they were hit by a Mercedes S320 saloon.
