Tribute to Luke Nappin following his death in Charlbury

THE family of a Charlbury man who died after a collision with a car before Christmas have said they are absolutely devastated.

Luke Nappin, 34, was killed in the collision in The Slade, Charlbury on Saturday, December 22.

In a statement released today, his family said: “The family of Luke Nappin are all absolutely devastated by his tragic death on the road and will never get over the loss.

“He just loved Charlbury and its people, and there would be nowhere else he would like to be.”

Mr Nappin, of The Green, was a Charlbury Primary School and then Chipping Norton School pupil. His family said he was also a member of the town judo club, cubs and scouts, the youth club, and played for the town’s boys football club.

They also said he a wide range of skills from welding to scaffolding and gardening, adding: “He could turn his hand to anything and always liked to complete a good job.”

Mr Nappin leaves behind parents Lynn and Dave, sister Leah and her partner Justin, sister Hollie and her husband Kevin, and his nephews Tayler , seven, and Jayden, four.

His family added: “Luke was a very sociable person who had so many friends and always liked to stop and chat to people.

“He had a heart of gold and loved to make people laugh. He was also a kind and considerate, loving and giving person.”
