PUSHING their bodies to the limit, women of all ages took part in a high-intensity workout at Summertown’s Ferry Leisure Centre.

Freelance fitness instructor Claire Westlake, 34, from Witney, led the Body Attack session.

She said: “It is like aerobics, although that oversimplifies it a bit.

“We do a lot of cardio and upper and lower body toning and conditioning.”

Sounds good ladies, but from what the medical world now seems to say, going to the gym and 'keep fit' classes are only part of the solution to leading a fitter, healthier and enjoyable life. So, maybe ditch the car, walk more (and it's free!) and cut-out sugar, those tempting cakes and 'choccy treats' - and if you have to drink, try to stick to a quarter of a glass of wine per day ..... not half a bottle!

True true. It doesn't have to mean expensive gym classes. Simple things like washing the dishes and vigorous hoovering (not when the football is on obviously) all help to keep the pounds off.
