Oxfam unveils its new chief

Mark Goldring Mark Goldring

MARK Goldring has been appointed as the new chief executive of Cowley-based charity Oxfam.

The 55-year-old will take over from Dame Barbara Stocking, 61, who has led the charity for 12 years, in April.

Mr Goldring is currently chief executive of disability charity Mencap.

Dame Barbara decided to stand down saying she felt 12 years was long enough and she didn’t want to stay for too long.

If you must pick a new leader for your Corporate Charity he is a good choice.

After all he makes a good living out of professional charity administration.

Mind you, how many highly paid executives does a real charity need?
