THE Kassam Stadium is not for sale, its owner has told the Oxford Mail.
Rugby club London Welsh, which moved to Oxford in September, has said it is interested in buying the stadium in GreaterLeys.
But Firoz Kassam, who owned Oxford United FC until 2006 and still owns the stadium, said: “The stadium is not for sale and that has been the case for a few years.
“I am the custodian of the stadium on behalf of the football club first and foremost.
“If the football club were to express an interest in buying the stadium it would be a different situation but I am not going to speculate on this issue.”
He declined to comment further.

This is fantastic news from Mr Kassam as I'd always wrongly believed he was custodian of the stadium first and foremost on behalf of his own profit.
What better way to prove how wrong I've been than a sizeable contribution to the playing budget during this transfer window?

If LW offer him the price he wants (the price previously agreed with WPL when they first took over the club), he will snap their arm off.

Don't be fooled. This is just FK's way of trying to ramp up the price he gets from London Welsh.

NOW OR NEVER IMO!!!
