Nearly 500 homes were without electricity yesterday morning after a power cut affecting the Fernham area near Faringdon.
Southern Electric confirmed 470 customers were affected by the fault on an underground cable at around 3am.
By 9am, engineers had restored power to all but 90 properties in the Silver Street and Church Lane area Power was expected to be restored by 7pm last night.
