May 2007: Talks take place between Oxford United and Oxford University over a possible partnership deal to buy the stadium
March 2008: Mr Merry said purchasing the stadium was a priority for Oxford United, now in the Conference, and negotiations were currently taking place
October 2008: Kelvin Thomas takes over as chairman of Oxford United as the club was said to be days away from administration and stressed the importance of buying it
2012: Richmond-based rugby club London Welsh move to the Kassam Stadium
