- Bonnifasi Shyaka, 23, of Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a purse containing £20 and a mobile phone in The Purple Turtle, Frewin Court, Oxford, on October 5. Community order made with activity and supervision requirements. Also banned from any nightclub in Oxford city centre for nine months. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge, £85 costs and £20 compensation.
- Joshua Wright, 21, of Ock Street, Abingdon, admitted assault by beating and possession of a kitchen knife in a public place in Abingdon on October 6. Given a 12-month conditional discharge for the assault and given a six-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months for possession of the blade. Given a supervision order and told to do 180 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Told to pay a £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
