Driver victim of accident scam

WHEATLEY: A man pretended to be run so that his accomplice could steal a handbag from a motorist who went to the ‘victim’s’ aid.

The incident happened in the car park of Asda in London Road, Wheatley, at about 2.45pm on Saturday.

A man, described as white, in his mid 50s feigned being hit by the vehicle as the woman reversed out of the parking space.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police information line 101.
