Flats evacuated in fire at tower in Wood Farm

OXFORD: Six fire engines were sent to a tower block after a report of a kitchen fire.
A spokeswoman for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire started in a flat at Foresters Tower, Wood Farm, Oxford, just after 5pm yesterday.
The small fire was out by the time the fire crews arrived and they left the area at 6pm after checking the flat. Some flats were evacuated as a precaution.
