Future unclear at exhaust firm

Bosses at exhaust manufacturer UYS in Cowley are still assessing the impact of Friday’s announcement that Honda is axeing 800 workers at its Swindon plant.
A spokesman said: “It will take some time to make decisions.”
Four years ago, UYS, which employs about 300 workers in Garsington Road, shed 90 staff after the Honda plant shut down for four months. Honda is its sole client.
