Update: M40 open again after accident

THE M40 northbound was closed following an accident this morning.

The accident involving a lorry, two vans and a car happened between junctions 7 and 8a.

The vehicles were moved to the side of the motorway but the northbound carriageway was closed while the surface is re-gritted.

The motorway is now open again.
