A YOUNG woman has this afternoon denied lying about being raped as a 14-year-old.

The witness was being questioned by defence barristers in the trial of nine men accused of running a child sex exploitation gang in Oxford.

Known as Girl 2 and now in her 20s, the woman says she was raped and trafficked for sex by Kamar Jamil and brothers Akhtar and Anjum Dogar in 2006.

The Old Bailey heard her and Girl 1 would run away to Oxford from their children's home.

And Andrew Jefferies, defending Akhtar Dogar, said she made up lies about his client to avoid getting into trouble with the home.

He said: "Is it confusion or, as I am suggesting, that these were just lies as you were in trouble?"

She replied: "None of it is a lie."

All nine defendants deny the 79 charges against them.

The trial continues.
