Royal Mail customers are being warned that new delivery routes could affect what time they get their post.
The company is reorganising its routes as it now delivers more parcels, because of a growing number of people who shop online. The majority of customers will continue to get their mail by lunchtime, but some could receive it earlier or later than before, depending on where they live on the new routes.

I'd be happy for parcels to be held at the sorting office provided the sorting office was open daily until 8pm to allow me to collect it. A 3 hour window on a Saturday is not sufficient.

I'd like to be able to tell my postman just to "hold" my parcels at the sorting office though and pop a card through my door. It seems such a waste trekking them round the streets when I won't be in to accept it (my neighbours often work nights, so I'd hate for them to be woken).
