Sex assault on woman in alley

A woman was seriously sexually assaulted in an alleyway yesterday.

Police are investigating the attack in Pepper Alley which was taped off by police until about 5.30pm. The attack was reported at 9.12am yesterday. No one had been arrested last night.

Officers say a second incident in the alleyway at 12.12pm, which was described as “an issue of personal welfare”, is not being connected.
