Charities given grants of £650

A new charity has provided grants to support two innovative projects less than a year after it was launched.

Impact on Health, which started last April, looks to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable city groups.

It hopes to tackle inadequate housing, poor education and lack of access to services.

A grant of £650 went to Step Up, which provides skills and training aimed at supporting homeless individuals into employment and stable, sustainable housing.

Children’s reading support project Beanstalk, which provides volunteers to give one to one help to primary school children also received £650.
