Rider hurt as horse and car collide

A RIDER was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital after her horse was involved in a collision with a car.
Police were called at 11.53am on Sunday to the Kidlington junction of the A34 southbound at Bicester Road to the crash involving a Volkswagen Golf.
The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the horse was recovered from the scene but were unable to confirm its injuries or whether the animal needed to be put down.
