A 12-YEAR-OLD girl was drugged and taken for an illegal abortion, the Old Bailey heard this afternoon.

The unnamed witness known as Girl 4 today began to give evidence via video link at the Oxford child sex exploitation trial.

She says she was raped and exploited by brothers Mohammed and Bassam Karrar between the ages of 11 and 15.

She told the jury when she was 12, Mohammed Karrar - then in his early 30s - got her pregnant.

She said: "He said to me you are not having this baby."

The court heard she was given drugs and driven to "an underground abortion clinic" in a "normal house" in Reading.

Crying, she said: "I felt pain. Not a bruising pain but a snagging pain. Like a crochet hook.

"It felt like a period pain but 10 times worse."

But she said she did not want to leave Karrar as she felt she was in a "relationship" with him.

She added: "I thought it will work out, it will be okay. You stick with him through the hard times and the good times."

The nine defendants deny all 51 counts.

The trial continues.
