Lord Mayor to learn fate next week

OXFORD: Lord Mayor Alan Armitage will discover his fate during a hearing next week.
The Lib Dem councillor, pictured, is facing a standards investigation over alleged inappropriate comments made to a schoolgirl last June.
The council’s standards committee will meet at 9.30am next Wednesday at the Town Hall to determine if he broke a councillors’ code of conduct.
An initial hearing was adjourned on January 14 after Mr Armitage announced he wanted to challenge the findings of a report.
