MP Galloway's quick exit

George Galloway, the Respect MP for Bradford West, stormed out of a debate at Christ Church because his opponent was an Israeli.

On Wednesday he was discussing whether Israel should withdraw from the West Bank. But he left less than three minutes into his opponent Eylon Aslan-Levy’s speech because he does not recognise Israel and refuses to debate with its citizens.

And the moral of the story is if you engage Mr. Galloway always get a back-up speaker as the first is likely to decamp in a huff.

It shames our country that so many of its citizens voted for this man.
