Teen incited child into sex

A 17-year-old boy has been convicted of inciting children to engage in sexual activity.

The teen, who a judge has banned from being named, was yesterday convicted by a jury at Oxford Crown Court of three counts of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity between January 2011 and February last year.

He was cleared of rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and two counts of inciting a child under 16 to engage in sexual activity.

The teen was released on bail and is barred from contacting the prosecution witnesses. He will be sentenced on Thursday, April 18.
