A SUMMER study group learnt gardening tips for this time of year at the University of Oxford Botanic Garden on Tuesday.
Visitors were given a tour of the gardens and were advised about pruning and cuttings techniques for the summer months.
Iffley village resident Anne Phythian-Adams, who is retired, was one of six people at the session.
She also attended the garden’s autumn and spring study events this year and said: “It was such a lovely day and I think the staff at botanic gardens do a great job of teaching people.
“I’m a keen gardener but it’s always nice to learn how to improve your technique.”
Gardens curator Tom Price, 32, from Oxford said: “It’s an ideal time for people to come and visit. The flowers are in full bloom and are looking fantastic.”
