Also admitted stealing food worth £80.25 from the BP garage in Didcot on May 27 and food and groceries worth £82.26 from the same location on May 18. Also admitted stealing food worth £27 from the Co-op in Abingdon on May 10. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for two years with an 18-month supervision requirement and a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement. Banned from the BP garages in Wantage and Didcot for two years.
  • Darren Russell, 27, of Vale Road, Witney, admitted stealing meat worth £24 from the Spar in Brize Norton Road, Minster Lovell, on April 16, aftershave worth £46 from Debenhams in Witney on April 19, and dishwasher tablets worth £14.40 from the Spar in Brize Norton Road, Minster Lovell, on May 2. Community order made with a drug rehabilitation course requirement and a 12-month supervision requirement. Told to pay £166.90 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  • Carl Betteridge, 26, of Merritt Road, Didcot, admitted failing to stop after a road accident and failing to report a road accident in Wantage Road, Didcot, on April 14. Fined £160 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given five points on driving licence.
  • Gareth Brown, 31, of Mathews Way, Wootton, near Abingdon, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in The Square, Abingdon, on June 8. Fined £90 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
